Vauxhall Corsa C (MK2) 2000-2006
The Corsa MK2, also known as the Corsa C went on sale in October 2000, was facelifted in 2003 and ended production in 2006.
The car was available with 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 or 1.8-llitre petrol engines, and 1.3 or 1.7-litre diesel engines, with the choice of 3 or 5 doors.
Common issues include:

Faulty software. If you think your Corsa is affected we advise you take your car to you local Vauxhall dealer to have it investigated.
Vauxhall Corsa Seat Adjustment Problem
There are reports of problems with the seat adjusters, where the longitudinal adjuster latch spring weakens and fails to lock the seat in place, this can cause safety issues for the drivers affecting their control of the vehicle.
Vauxhall Corsa Steering Wheel Problem
Some model-year 2004 cars have had issues with the steering wheels not being tightened correctly, resulting in imprecise steering and unwanted wheel wobble.
Vauxhall Corsa Timing Chain Problem
This is a problem that is associated with both the Corsa C and D models. The timing chain tensioner is responsible for ensuring the timing chain stays tight to camshaft and crankshaft. The tensioners are poorly designed which means the chains develop a nasty rattling noise.
Vauxhall Corsa Gear linkage Problem
The Vauxhall Corsa C is prone to gearbox linkage problems. This is down to the poor design of the linkages, the rubbery plastic material wears to the point in which is points out of the joint, this makes it difficult and, in some cases, impossible to engage gears.
Vauxhall Corsa Heater Problem
Many people have reported heater problems with their Vauxhall Corsa C’s. Reports claim the heaters struggling to blow warm air and there are a few culprits for this problem. One issue can be the thermostat, this is a relatively in expensive part, another fault can be a faulty heater resistor.
Vauxhall Corsa D (MK3) 2006-2014
the Corsa MK3 was named, yes you guessed it, the Corsa D! The Corsa D went on sale in 2006, facelifted in 2010 and ended production in 2014. In that time nearly 750,000 cars were produced.
Engines included 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6- litre petrol’s and 1.3 and 1.7-litre cdti ecoflex diesels.
Common issues include:
Vauxhall Corsa Water ingress Problem
Some of the cars built in 2006 are known to have water ingress problems. Water manages to find its way into the ABS connector via the ground wire connection, this can result in malfunctioning and sometimes over heating or catching fire, not what you want from your brakes!
Vauxhall Corsa Suspension Problem
There have been many reports of cars built during 2007 having steering problems caused by the front lower suspension arms. The arms can fracture near the bushings due to welding problems. The lack of rigidity causes a lack of stability and can lead to loss of control of the car.
