Performance Headlights - Headlamps

What you need to know about performance and custom headlight upgrades

Performance lighting is an upgrade of the original lights to a higher specification and design. We have a performance lighting range for the majority of vehicles. Some of the performance headlights may come in boxed pairs.

Our custom headlights come with 1 year warranty after the date of purchase.

All performance headlights are genuine aftermarket, brand new parts.

What are the performance headlight upgrade types?

Halogen is the most popular type of headlight bulb, these are easy to replace. The halogen light bulb or lamp is a type of incandescent lamp which uses a halogen gas in order to increase both light output and rated life.

A xenon arc lamp is a specialised type of gas discharge lamp, an electric light that produces light by passing electricity through ionised xenon gas at high pressure. It produces a bright white light that closely mimics natural sunlight.

The recent developments have led to LED lights being used in most new cars these days. LED produce an extremely white light, whilst being more efficient than halogen or xenon’s bulbs, as they require a very low wattage to work.

Depending on the vehicle and design, there may be different colour inner headlights. If you already have performance lights in please check the colour if replacing one of the sides to ensure the appearance is the same.

Some bulbs may not be included but the information regarding which bulb is needed can be found in the product specification.

What are angel eye headlights?

This is a halo ring design headlight. This is one of our most popular performance headlight upgrade styles.

How can the headlights be adjusted?

Some may be manually adjusted or some may be electrically adjusted from the inside of the vehicle. There is a level or adjustment motor that may come with the headlight that will allow the beam pattern of the headlight to be altered to be higher or lower, inside the vehicle. The product description and specification will state whether the motor is included. If the performance headlights do not come included these can be sourced separately from the Ultimate Styling website.

What are different sides of the vehicle?
Driver side: the right hand side when sat in the car facing forwards. Also known as off side or O/S.
Passenger: the left hand side when sat in the car facing forwards. Also known as near side or N/S.
