Current Registration System
The two numbers in the middle of the registration state the year:
The first number will be a 1/5/6.
If it is a 1, it is registered between March and September: If it is a 5/6, the vehicle is registered after September and before March.
The second number states the year:
For example KC63 KFF was registered between Sept 2013 and March 2014.

Prefix Registration System
Vehicles registered pre 2001 are subject to a prefix and suffix system. The most common is prefix. The first letter represents the year the car was registered.
For example, M673 SWP was registered in 1994.

How to fit / replace a Ford Mk6 & Mk7 Transit Wing Mirror

Follow these instructions to fit the door mirror yourself. However, Ultimate Styling can’t be held responsible for any damage during fitment.

Please wear PPE

Overview:

  1. Using a flathead screwdriver, pry the 3 small covers to expose the bolt locations
  2. You will need an 8mm extension for your ratchet to remove the bolts holding the mirror in place. Take care to maneuver the bolt through the hole
  3. Gently pry the side repeater on each side to remove and disconnect so it can be fitted to the replacement unit.
  4. Once the old mirror has been removed, reconnect the side repeater and align the replacement unit onto the body.
  5. Insert the bolts back into the fittings and ensure they are tightened.
  6. Reattach the small circular bolt covers.
