Current Registration System
The two numbers in the middle of the registration state the year:
The first number will be a 1/5/6.
If it is a 1, it is registered between March and September: If it is a 5/6, the vehicle is registered after September and before March.
The second number states the year:
For example KC63 KFF was registered between Sept 2013 and March 2014.

Prefix Registration System
Vehicles registered pre 2001 are subject to a prefix and suffix system. The most common is prefix. The first letter represents the year the car was registered.
For example, M673 SWP was registered in 1994.

How to fit / replace Ford Transit wing mirror glass – Mk6 & Mk7 2000-2014

Here are the instructions to fit Ultimate Styling mirror glass to your Ford Transit Mk7. There is no need to remove the mirror from your van.

Follow these instructions to fit the part yourself. However, Ultimate Styling can’t be held responsible for any damage during fitment.

Please wear PPE

Overview:

  1. Upper Glass – Tilt the mirror glass upwards
  2. Gently lift the glass at the bottom until it pops off
  3. If required remove the heating elements
  4. Once the heating elements are attached (if needed) line the glass up with the backing plate
  5. Press down firmly until it clicks
  6. Lower Glass – Gently lift off the glass at the top until it pops off
  7. Peel off the backing of the new mirror glass and line up with the mirror unit
  8. Press down firmly until stuck secure
  9. Check the glass moves freely and isn’t loose. Wipe the glass to get rid of any marks
