The Reliant Robin is a three-wheeled car first released in 1973, spanning three generations (Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3), over 30 years. The Robin’s bodywork was made totally from fibreglass keeping the weight so low, it was permitted to be driven on a motorbike license. The single wheel in the front is responsible for the steering, and the two rear wheels are driven by the engine. Economy was the focus of the Reliant Robin, in both purchase prices and running costs.
