If it is a 1, it is registered between March and September: If it is a 5/6, the vehicle is registered after September and before March.

What You Need To Know When Buying Performance and Custom Rear Lights / Tail Lights



Performance rear light and tail lights sometimes known as custom rear lights are upgrades and alterations to enhance and customise the vehicle. Our performance lighting come with 1 years warranty after the date of purchase.

We have available products for right hand drive but there are some neutral drive parts that can be switched from inside the rear light.

What are the different performance rear light / tail lights?

The main types of custom / aftermarket rear lights we supply are LED or Non-LED. This will depend on the vehicle the lighting is for. Some may stock both for the same vehicle and you are unsure what lighting typing you require, contact a member of the team who will be happy to help.

What are different sides of the vehicle?

Driver side: the right hand side when sat in the car facing forwards. Also known as off side or O/S.
Passenger side: the left hand side when sat in the car facing forwards. Also known as near side or N/S.

The Ultimate Styling team would recommend having a professional fit the parts. Please note any parts damaged when fitting or after fitment will not be returnable or protected under warranty.

Performance Rear Tail Light Buying Guide


Here is an explanation of the terms used to help you choose the correct Performance Rear Lights for your vehicle.

Performance Rear Lights / Tail Lights Upgrade your lights to customise your vehicle and make it stand out.
Bulb Holder A bulb holder is what you put bulbs into inside the headlight, these are fitted with electric terminals which the bulb is screwed into, this powers the light when the car lights are acivated
Indicator Colour Indicators are on every vehicle sometimes the lens are orange and you can use a clear bulb, In other instances the lens are clear then you have to use an orange bulb
Neutral Drive The lights can be switched to either right or left hand drive using a switch inside the headlight
RHD For right hand drive vehicles.


Legalities regarding rear lamps


Driving a vehicle with a broken rear tail lamp can land you a £60 fine and 3 points but often you will be issued a roadside prohibition notice in which you will be given 10 days to fix the fault before an inspection.
