Front indicator and side light upgrades

What you need to know about custom performance indicators and side light upgrades

Performance indicators and side lights are enhanced lighting upgrades to replace the original.

Indicators are used to notify other drivers of where your vehicle is going e.g. if you are going to take right/left turns, switching lanes, overtaking etc.

Side lamps allow vehicles to remain visible in poor weather conditions or at night.

What are the different performance indicators available?
The website stocks a large variety for all different vehicles. For most vehicles the indicators will be amber or clear. For the clear lens there will be a need for an amber bulb. For the amber lens this allows for the use of clear bulbs, as the lens is already coloured. For the performance lighting there may be lens options that are smoked, unsmoked, black etc.

Some vehicles may have LED indicators, which is different to the standard bulb. The LED allows for lower energy consumption and longer life than standard bulbs. The product/part specification on the website will state whether the part is non-LED or LED.

On the dashboard of the car there may be a bulb error light to indicate there is an issue with the vehicles indicator. This will notify the vehicle driver by the arrow light flashing faster than usual.

The indicators may not come with bulb holders or the bulbs for the indicators/side lights. These will need to be sourced elsewhere. The performance indicator or side light product specification and description will state whether these parts are included, and what type of bulb will be required for the part.

What are the terms relating to sides of the vehicle?
The drivers’ side of the vehicle is the right hand side of the vehicle and may be referred to as the off side or O/S. The passenger is the left hand side and may be referred to as the near side or N/S.
