Carrying That Unnecessary Clutter In Your Car Will Cost You Cash!
Don’t Have Your Car Looking Like It’s Going To A Sunday Car Boot Sale Every Day Of The Week!
Are you aware of that large, white elephant in the boot of your car that you are lugging around?! Carrying extra weight affects fuel efficiency, so send that tusker packing, and save money on your fuel consumption.
Drivers in Britain are wasting fuel through an overloaded car boot of unnecessary items (everything including the kitchen sink!). One in 10 motorists have admitted to misusing their car boot as a permanent storage space, with up to a third hoarding an average of more than five items. However, if saving fuel was a certain outcome, these drivers would happily change the errors of their ways, but alas, they are still squirreling items ranging from work tools, wellington boots, outdoor clothing, gym bags, sports equipment (golf clubs), pushchairs, and enough shoes to open a shop. The heavier the car, the greater the inertia and greater the force acting against the motion of the tyres when they roll on the road’s surface.
According to the RAC, the added weight being carried around could have an impact on fuel economy, where an extra 50kg can reduce fuel economy by 2%!
So, for those car clutter collectors, a word from the wise: cleanse your boot and save your loot!
